SRUJANA-2012

As a part of the Republic day celebrations, SKVT Alumni Association with the help of our faculty and staff organized its first annual drawing competition “SRUJANA- The Annual Picasso Hunt – 2012” on January 24th and 25th of 2012. We had a tremendous response to this event and the kids presented their creative and natural talent in their drawings and paintings. A whopping 150 students participated in the event which was categorized into junior level senior level. Our drawing teacher Mrs. Padmaja Bhushan selected the top three paintings from each of these categories and prizes were distributed on the Republic Day. Our Teachers, Staff & Alumni actively took part of this inaugural event with the same enthusiasm as the kids and made this event a colorful one.

Seniors Category: Classes 6-10, Theme: Indian Culture & Heritage

1st Prize: V. Sandeep Babu (IX - C)
2nd Prize: I. Padma Sree (IX - A)
3rd Prize: Y. Mohan Sathya Varma (VII - B)

The event grabbed some media attention as well and it was mentioned in Eenadu local edition on January 27th and also in the local cable news channel. We would like to specially thank Shyam Sappa (2001 Batch) for coming forward and taking the responsibility of organizing this event along with his generous donation to cover the material costs incurred to organize this event. We also want to thank Ratna Raju (1999 Batch), Navajeevan (2001 batch) the guys behind suggesting the name for this event and for suggesting the idea of the media coverage respectively through the SKVT Alumni Discussion Board. Special appreciations to DVD Trinath for designing the creative banner and for the beautiful picture coverage throughout the event.
